About Dr. McKenna

Specializing in General Internal Medicine, Dr. McKenna has been practicing in North Bay for over a decade.

Dr. McKenna's practice focuses on the care of individuals living with complex chronic medical conditions. Her interests include:

• Medical disorders of pregnancy - including management of metabolic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, blood disorders and more.
• Diseases of the cardiovascular system including heart attack and stroke, working in both cardiac stress testing and stroke prevention clinics at NBRHC.
• Specialized Geriatric Medicine - collaboration with a dynamic team at the Nipissing Specialized Geriatric Medicine clinic in outpatient management of older adults living with multiple comorbid conditions (such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, falls and frailty).
• Perioperative medicine - optimizing patients prior to major surgery.

Outpatient clinics are balanced with a busy on-call schedule providing Internal Medicine consultations and care for the most complex of patients admitted to the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
